1. Reflect on your last shopping trip to your favourite store.

Describe the first impression you have had as you entered the store.
Explain how the visual merchandising(VM) in the store helps to generate sales.
How do you think VM in your favourite store has helped differentiate it from its competitors?

2. Define the 5 principles of design. Explain how each one is applied in a visual merchandising strategy

3. Visit your favourite retail store. Think of one principle of design and observe and illustrate in a sketch/diagram how your favourite retailer has used this design principle in their visual merchandising.

2.) Go to vbus and copy the YEO's survey data into SPSS format by 4th July and submit
3.) FARM tut on monday instead of tuesday BS26-4-48 at 9am

Hey people...its me again. So for yesterday well done to everyone for doing their job during 1st Avenue Operations. Once again we broke the sales records. WE got $403 of sales...which is more than we expected. But next time we will break the sales record again for sure. Cause records are made to be broken. Dun forget today RBB tut makeup 11am-1pm after RBB lecture. Oh ya...

CNN Day
I need people to help out today and tmrw. Today we are supposed to buy the stuff and go Attiqah's house to make the cookies. Not forgetting we have to do the signs and promotions. So we some people to help...And i also need people to mend the booth for the duration during CCN Day. So please tell me when you're free. And then i can assign you your slot.

Class Dinner
Today's class dinner was a success...even though only a few came. We talked a lot of crap and lame jokes. Bonded as a class during the meal and waited for each other before we start eating. Which i think is a good start....so now planning going on for next class outing. Check for updates people!!!

Birthdays
Hi people i will need your birthdays so that i can carry out my once a month cake for the people with Birthdays. Money of course will be taken from the class fund. Either tag on the tagboard or tell me personally.

Hey people...just some random annoucements.

1.) Mkt Research
I already sent out the lawyer list which is already confirmed. So do try make appointments with your lawyers this week.

2.) Basics Of Ent
This week no tut...due to CCN Day. But u may consult Miss Debbie Ng for your idea proposal.

3.) Class Outing
This wed after Mkt Research lec. Class Dinner somewhere...we shall decide on that day. So please come k? =D

4.) RP1 and Store Management
Regarding 1st Avenue Operations hope we can work as a team. Try to be on time for that day...we want to open on time and maximise sales. I will work with the asst store managers and department supervisors on the details. Hope we can be the best!!! For those doing kiosk if u can come up with signs to attract the crowd it will be good.

5.) CCN Day
Hey sorry for such a last minute annoucement...waffles are a no go!!! Cause my aunt ain't in S'pore. So can come up with ideas for another thing to sell. Thanks. Let me noe tmrw. May 12th 2008.

Ok so there is a lot of stuff going on now...i know u all are all worried about yr lawyer thingy. I am so sorry i took so long to settle it. By monday u should be given all the details already...so can call up the lawyers ASAP!! Cause apparently they are very busy people...i hate interviews with lawyers, SERIOUSLY!!! Just hope they dun put on airs.

1.) RBB
RBB has failed to change to thursday as CM has decided not to approve the change. So back to our CRAP TIMETABLE!!! For those who have missed Mr Roche's lecture today he said that we should try to be on time for lectures and he may lock the doors next time...so be wary...And he empasied on Group Leader's responsibility to attend lectures and be mindful of your group's progress on the project. He will give the Group Leaders credit where its due. But he will question as well if u perform badly. The Group Leader will be the one who is doing the RBB Project Presentation Introduction Part. So pls take note.

2.) Class Outing
Next Wed after Market Research lecture, dinner as a class opposite sch....those who can make it tell me pls. And i hope everybody can go...if not i damm sad. This is just a warm up soon more extensive outings will be planned. Thanks!! =D

Hey hey...i need to think of alot of things that is happening now.

1.) Marketing Research

The law firms allocated to you by me are actually not confirmed by Miss Amy Lim. So pls dont call them to make appointment first. And i heard from some of my friends that they can actually reject your interview request.

2.) 1st Avenue Set-up

As u all have heard wad Mr Jeff Ho has said they need help from u guys to set up first avenue. So those who are free i hope u all can volunteer and go help out.

Ya i think thats about it and about the changing of RBB class from fri to tues is not confirmed yet. So yes happy studying and see u all in sch...

I'm so sorry i am taking so long to do the class list. I actually finished le but I haven printed for everyone yet i'll do so by monday.

HI PEOPLE!!!

Firstly just to let you all know this will be a avenue for any important news and announcements to be posted online for your information. Those who wish to contribute to this blog are welcomed but must first ask for permission. And yes!! A BIG THANK YOU for GRACE PHUA for coming up with this blog in such short notice. Now for the important stuffs...

1.) Basics of Entrepreneurship

Lessons will still be held at LAB 7 next fri 12pm-1pm. Remember to bring a hard copy of the template found on vbus.

2.) Class Fund

We THANK JIE SHENG for volunteering to be treasurer...and yes notes will be printed for u all but pass $5 to Jie Sheng ASAP!!! If not we cant get the notes for you...unless my dad owns a photocopier. Its a small price to pay for a huge load off your back. So pls cooperate...

3.)Law Firms

Just now during tutorial I didnt take down the names of each pair. Can tell me latest tmrw your pairs and give me your names and then i can divide the lawyers accordingly.

4.) Group Project for Mkt Research.

Pls fill in Appendix A and C of your student kit ASAP!!! And pass to me...so u can get started on your projects.

5.)Labour Day

Since thursday is labor day our lecture for RBB will be affected. Mr Allen Roche has not spoken to me about it yet. But just take note...other classes are having makeup on this FRI 4pm-6pm. For Us i'm not sure will confirm again.
